　　1. The valve must not exhibit any damage, missing parts, corrosion, or detached nameplates, and the valve body must be free of dirt and debris.

　　2. Protective covers should be provided at both ends of the valve. The handle or handwheel operation should be smooth and effortless, with no signs of jamming or stiffness.

　　3. When the valve body is cast, its surface shall be smooth and flat, free from defects such as cracks, shrinkage cavities, sand holes, air pores, and burrs. When the valve body is forged externally, its surface shall be free from defects such as cracks, delamination, laps, and scars.

　　4. The inner surfaces of valves lined with rubber, enamel, or plastic shall be smooth and flat. The lining shall be firmly bonded to the substrate and free from defects such as cracks or blisters. Each lined surface shall be individually inspected using a high-frequency spark generator; the inspection is considered合格 (pass) only if no breakdown of the lining (no white flash phenomenon) is detected.

　　5. The sealing surfaces of valve flanges shall meet the requirements and must not have any radial scratches.
